Pyramid and Microsoft have been working together since 2010 with Pyramid Analytics’ BI Office and Microsoft SQL Server Analytics Services (SSAS). We have a proven record of helping companies use their existing investments in the Microsoft BI infrastructure with a robust analytics engine. As a result, they can implement self-service BI in the whole organization, with BI Office and SQL Server.
In May 2016, we furthered our technology integration with Microsoft with our new Publish Power BI Desktop Reports to Pyramid Server functionality in BI Office, which enables users to publish their reports and visualizations to a centralized repository, integrate data from multiple environments into a single location, and overlay security and administrative governance—all in a web-based, on-premise or private cloud platform. This integration further enables competitive advantage when combined with BI Office’s advanced analytics features for the enterprise. Further, it allows the strong capabilities of Power BI Desktop to be on-premise, which is very important to healthcare customers.
Our joint solution has broad market potential for both provider and payer organizations. Most of these organizations need to incorporate disparate legacy systems into a centralized, governed platform for analytics. Our providers strive to use secure data to drive patient outcomes, improve safety, improve operational performance, and enable medical staff for self-service data discovery. Our payers strive to improve patient health, gain a competitive advantage, measure what they manage, and retain large employer groups by providing self-service analytics for external users.
High-profile Pyramid and Microsoft customers include the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Blue Cross of Idaho, CareFirst of Maryland, Memorial Healthcare System, St. Joseph Medical Center, and St. Luke’s Health System.
