The good news keeps on coming!
Last week was huge for Pyramid. First, we proudly announced our Series E funding round to the world. I wrote about it in a blog post discussing the what and why behind our announcement. My message boiled down to one fundamental belief: the Pyramid Decision Intelligence Platform is poised to be the next big innovation in analytics.
Two days later, we dropped our second major announcement: the Pyramid Platform ranked highest in the Augmented Analytics Use Case in the latest Gartner 2022 Critical Capabilities rankings. (You can download the report here.)
We are thrilled by the report. It confirmed our long-standing certainty: the time for augmented analytics is now. What’s more, we’ve met this unique moment with an innovative solution with everything organizations need to gain massive value from augmented analytics: our Decision Intelligence Platform.
We made the announcement at the Gartner Data & Analytics Summit in London, and the timing couldn’t have been more perfect. In one of the keynotes, Gartner Distinguished VP Analyst Rita Sallam presented her take on automation, observing: “Automated insights, data stores, and natural language generation are driving adoption of augmented analytics.”
According to Gartner, “Augmented analytics is the use of enabling technologies such as machine learning and AI to assist with data preparation, insight generation, and insight explanation to augment how people explore and analyze data in analytics and BI platforms.”
Gartner—a reliable predictor of future trends—first declared augmented analytics the future of data and analytics in 2017. They haven’t wavered since. Yet, while many analytics and business intelligence vendors have attempted to hitch their wagon to the concept, few have managed to find a way to bring it into everyday analytics workflows.
